Dear Yagudo Cursers,

When CTY was made way back in 2004, we made it to be a friendly, fun place for people to hang out. One that was the exact opposite of a typical MMO guild with a lot of rules and procedures and bureaucracy and all that. We were, after all, playing FFXI to have fun, and not to get entangled in rules and bureaucracy and drama and whatnot. The CTY rules, which are still read to everyone new who joins the shell, were written with that philosophy in mind:

Rule #1: You must curse the Yagudo.
I think this one is self-explanatory. ^_~

Rule #2: Eat your mithkabobs!
One can read this to mean that one should be properly prepared for any challenge one comes across in your adventuring career. Which one should! I, personally, just read it as "eat your mithkabobs," because mithkabobs are fun and Mithra love this tasty meat-on-a-stick meal.

Rule #3: Be nice.
Or alternatively, "treat others with respect." Please, if for whatever reason you can't follow this rule, at least keep it out of LS chat and CTY journals, out of respect for others on the shell who may not be involved in whatever's going on.

Rule #4: give all yarn balls to Mecredi.
I don't think she's got enough yarn balls! Also, you could give all barrette-wearing tarugirls to Nyiri, all Wolfgang-clones to Thistle, and all your angsty elvaan to me...

Rule #5: Pet Beanie.
Beanie needs her pettings in order to be a happy kitten. We'd all like to see more petting going on. ^^

Rule #6: Follow the tail.
Um...I think this means that during big alliance events, follow the leader's instructions and don't get distracted by others. There can be only one tail at any given time.

Rule #7: HAVE FUN.
FFXI is a game. For Altana's sake don't take it too seriously! This does not, however, mean that you should disrespect other people's time and effort because "it's only a game." See rule #3 above.

And finally, no dying. It's the rules.

<3 always,
Linmayu
