dancing rain: yellow chocobo, all stats poor. :( she hated me when i retired her. don't know why, i was always there :(

silent rain: green chocobo. average/substandard/substandard/poor. right now he can endure my company but that's because i didn't have the internets for weeks and wasn't able to check on him. before that he loved me like a mother. i think i bred his mother with a black chocobo to achieve green. he was recently bred with a yellow choco.

desert rain: daughter of silent rain. female chocobo, strength substandard, likes clear days and born with the ability "treasure finder." she tends to wobble between being ill-tempered and easygoing. pulonono said she'd be good for military use.

I get home from work, and hop on POL for dynamis. I get off work at 930, they gather at 930, so I just get on ASAP. Well, my computer wouldn't stay up for more then a few mins before either freezing, or restarting itself. Suffice to say, missed Dynamis.. and came to the conclusion at the end of the night that my video card died. Normally this would've been a cheapo fix, but it's integrated.. and my computer was made in 2005. So, I asked around. Basically got the same response: "2005? Integrated? F it. Get a new computer."

I don't intend on getting a new pc at this point.. cheaper to put windows on the mac. Which is what I've decided to do, in the next week or two.. when I get enough money for it :P

The good thing is I can run FFXI at a higher setting, since my imac is awesome. No more pixelation!

Demandred > My computer finally decided it hated its graphics card this morning, so it seems there is a rash of issues lately in CTY. Given that 3 cards of the same model wouldn't work for more than a few minutes in the game, we think it is the motherboard. i {curse}d the mammets last night. it was fun times. the crazy floating mountains in the riverne area reminded me of avatar.

we had a full party and were doing well the first time, until i died. they were trying to kill the last guy, and as i lay there on the ground i watched them all die and the last little taru beat on it with a stick with 8 hp for the longest time it seemed. though he eventually died and we had to try again.

second time around was easier. they actually kept hate off me for the most part so i wouldn't die. did some awesome cura's with misery. and we beat them all in about 16 mins. it's been soooo long since i've been trying to get this one done. i'm so happy i can move on, now i'm at 3-3 1-1. <3 i think me and tov were going to try it together.

roaming around.. someone found a new NM in cape terrigan, a crab named Tegmine. didn't know anything about it, so we went and attacked it. hard mob; took me and two 75's to kill it.. gave us 38 xp and a water crystal. apparently it's supposed to drop a 'aptant of durus' whatever that is.

Negata > Fait, Nyiri and I have been struggling at this. I'd suggest getting a good zerg happening, or a few healers + DD capable of soloing a few mobs without support. (09/09/02 18:26)
Sivara > I'd suggest getting a strong party of 6 (it can be done with 5, but it's very close), 3 powerful DDs and 3 healers or 4 powerful DDs and 2 healers. Keep one healer on Romaa at all times and the other healer(s) can heal the DDs and occasionally heal Romaa if needed. It's not an easy fight but it's better than the previous "lol blm only" fight. >_> (09/09/03 08:37)

i win at divine might! okay, so we started at like.. 11 pm and didn't win until around 3 in the morning. started out with a super tank pt. we had 4 whms all cure bombing super tank. then realized this wasn't really working cause there wasn't a mage for the other two parties.

so i moved and cured the DDs in the other two parties and the rest cured the super tank and that party. eventually we got it! we were down to 2 spheres. fun times. everyone died so much. i lost about 2k xp even with RR3.. a lot of the 75's even deleveled. but we did it.

and i got a pretty earring.

yeah. i know. i need to clean out the screenshot folder one of these days.

Demandred > I recommend the beastly earring for your BST if you intend to take it places: it is meant for BST :) But, please, look on the wiki and make your decision based on that in the end. It all depends on what you want to do. I took a suppanomimi since I dual wield, for instance, but would have loved the axe skill on the BST earring. (09/08/23 18:17)

after nice CTY people gave me some equipment to use for the fight, i started on my journey to maat's house.. thought i had everything.

enter the circle, and at this point i gotta turn on some music, because i'm kinda freaking out a bit. "Another way to die" comes on itunes and figured this was fitting.

the first thing i do when i see the old guy, was banishga. he runs up to me and starts castin spells on my face, so i repose him. he fell asleep so it was good time for me to chill and compose myself.. and get more mp.

well he wakes up and i guess i pissed him off, cause he silenced me. then i go and find my echo drops.. turns out i forgot them! *panic* so i just used about 3 hi-potions to keep myself alive until the silence wears. i was thinking.. i'm gonna die in the beginning cause i forgot my stupid echo drops. *curses* he then dia'd me, and paralyzed me, while i was silenced. so i was gulping down those hi-pots like a mother. i was able to stay alive until silence wore, and then was able to renew my stoneskin. cast erase and paralyna to get rid of the status effects. now that i think about it, i could've just esuna'd, but didn't have the spell macro'd. tried to paralyze his butt, but he resisted. flash ended up working at least.

i then had to concentrate on my HP and just try to stay alive after that point. he kept dia'ing me, so i dia'd him back. and was like, "how do YOU like it, bitch?"

i ended up casting cure V about 3 times, and 1 cure IV. wanted to get a regen III in there, but at that point, i had about 40 mp, and tried to drink an ether+1. he was hitting me too much, and i couldn't get it to let me drink the potion, so had to resort to smaller cure spells. i still had bene, so was going to use that as a last resort. i also realized that my gear switches to AF body when i cast cure spells, so i had to keep putting on my noble's again. :P

i didn't notice this until after i looked on scrollback, but maat was being a little trash talker. callin me a wippernsapper and such.

when i had about 200 hp, and 7 mp, he gave up. whew.

i feel so growned up. it was hard giving that noble's back.. it.. it's just so pretty.. refresh is <3...

also: forgot to cleanout screenie folder, so i took pictures with my camera of the computer screen :P

as long as there's a 52-54 level sync guy we can exploit, there's a great camp in caedarva mire beating up chigoes. my emperor band lasted about 15 mins. someone said their anniv ring only lasted 7! it's been a good thing. i just wish i didn't have to stay up until 5 am to do it.. we get about 4 blms, 1 whm, and a tank with provoke. oh, and 2 75s to kill sheep for us.

now i need to skill magic. and stuff.

ah, i got to beat up a shadow the other night for a friend's WHM briault. 6 of us came along to help out, and i was all excited to beat it up. and i let her borrow my nimbex-signed gold hairpin so she could get more mp for the fight. she is a little whm that i feel all big sistery with!

it was way fun, except that when she popped it, it immediately cast sleepga and we all went sleepies. but she was the first to awaken and woke up the tank first so he could beat on it and get hate off her. but i got to holy it and cure people.

in the end she got her mask and her body piece! i was proud.

i found a great party last night! a friend of mine was talking in LS about how they were leveling so fast, with chain 8's and such. a member left and i was able to be a replacement with my BLM, and got 3 levels in 1.5 hours. i just wish i was able to get in on the party from the start.. since the rest of them got 8 levels in 3 hours. we were out in altepa beating up spiders. and i was told just to nuke nuke nuke! so i did this and got about 2 levels of elemental. learning more about the weather and it's effect on nuke spells too.

afterwords, the festival had started so i grabbed my santa outfit from last year and beat up boxes in west saruta with some more friends from the LS. the dream bell makes a dingaling sound when you use it as a weapon which amused me greatly.. though it was too slow killing boxes with it so i just changed to an actual weapon. i look forward to beating up more boxes today!

i'm generally free all day tuesday, so i can be flexible there. saturday i am free until 6 pm mountain, cause i have to work. the rest of the week i work until 10 pm mountain, and most people sleep then. sunday i have static and i'm usually out of town until then.

don't know whether phht, tovari, or dem can make these times, though.. or what klaital's tuesday static starts at.

i'm generally free all day tuesday, so i can be flexible there. saturday i am free until 6 pm mountain, cause i have to work. the rest of the week i work until 10 pm mountain, and most people sleep then. sunday i have static and i'm usually out of town until then.

I'm freeish before 7:30 PM EST and after about midnight EST on Tuesdays (be warned if I show up at midnight; I'm liable to be tired and a bit shakey), before 9:30 pm and after about 12:30 am on Wednesdays(limbus day; I can leave before they pass out coins if needed tho), Thursday is free all day, Friday free all day, Sat free before 4:30 PM (Limbus can run so late that day I usually just have to crash tho), Sunday after about 2:00 PM and Monday all day. Nimbex > I'd prefer to get two people through the fight at once, and I bet Klaital still needs it. Given the current resources, I'd offer up my NIN. I'm generally free MTWF after Salvage (8-10p Eastern), Saturday mornings (10a-2:51p), and Sundays all day. This is the *general* availability, anyway! And yeah, since losing a bell REALLY sucks, having a decent size group with more people who need it is appealing. I'm willing to risk death, but I don't want to have to re-farm. (08/09/16 14:43)

My Tuesdays aren't free *until* about 7:30 pm EST, but my Saturdays are usually open between 9a Mountain and 1:51p Mountain. This coming Saturday is an exception, but most other Saturdays work. so klaital already talked about our not-so-great party last night.. but aside from that, it was pretty hilarious after vaudian showed up. vaudian milked my sheep, and then miya had butt sechs with it. :o

i then petted the sheep in al zahbi after besieged for being such a good sheep.

yay static was fun times. i used this giant ant pet. you could say he was antsy in his pantsy.. and he liked to hang around dem a lot. i dont really like giant pets unless we're in more of an open area, but it worked. i used mr. lizard for the rest of the time after antlion left.

and the good thing is that we only had one casaulty - ms. dem. so we promptly sat on her corpse. the funny thing was is that it looked liked there was some decapitation goin on or something...

so i need to do the level cap for 60 quest. i have to get 3 frigicites from xarcabard and beat up lots of NMs. i am squishy so i need high level help. :3 it says it can be soloed by most 75 jobs. i'm usually available all day tuesday but tomorrow i'm going out of town and i don't know when i'll be back that day. i'll definitely be back sometime in the evening, though. otherwise, i'm available on saturday before 6:30 pm mdt, or sunday nights after static. any takers? :3
