Fair to say I haven't been on much recently.

I think apart from Limbus on Sundays, my slackertaru attitude will continue for the forseeable future. If anyone needs me for anything I'll be bumming around on IRC as usual.
Demandred > Slackertaru breaks are needed to recharge now and again. I'll poke Klaital if we need you and you are seemingly available. :) (10/04/27 22:45)

Successful run last night! We got GARY, TITY, and LEVY done with little to no trouble. My appalling navigation skills mean't we fought Titan on Earthsday, but it wasn't too much of a problem.

Next week will be IFFY, RAMY and SHIVY.
I'll assume the same team again, meaning we'll have 2 more slots open.

*Update* Sorry, I suck and completely forgot to log in last night. Reschedule for next week (24th).

I'd like to get this done to finish up ZM, since I've been sitting around at this point ever since we did the big DM group last year. Priority will be given to those that need it of course, but any helpers would be appreciated. Looking at trying to do it one evening this week.

Right, time to get round to actually organising this then.

So following last nights successful visit to GC next, I was thinking maybe we could do more low level stuff every week. I know Morlock is planning on doing 40->50 runs on Friday nights, but I think there's probably enough jobs that need levelling to do it on Sundays too.

I would suppose Klai/Dem might be interested? Any other takers?
cealia > what time on sunday nights? i would be interested, provided it's before dynamis! (10/03/08 14:48)
Sivara > I was hoping to do 60+ exp on Sundays, actually. I used to do that with Dem and Klai until I got pregnancy-sick and couldn't play much. My COR desperately needs exp and I really can't level it in a low-level group without getting so bored that I lose rolls. (10/03/08 23:18)
Klaital > In general, Dem and I are around for XPing after Limbus on Sundays. This coming Sunday we will have company over, however, so we'll likely be logging off after events. (10/03/09 12:26)

Windurst missions complete! Thank you very much for all the hard work. I now declare Team Bastok Defectors disbanded. I myself will be heading back to Bastok as soon as is Tarutaruly possible!

There was no picture of my Rank 10 ding, because the game decided not to display the shiny on screen banner that you're meant to get :( This made me sad :( Look at my sad face :( Look at it :(

I will likely be organising something new and exciting on Saturdays, probably starting in a few weeks time.

Ok, we'll try this again.

From what I gather, Ennui, Klaital and Negata still need to get through the weighted door in QSC. I would suggest some form of communication between you guys to get this done before next session.

Meet in Windurst for the Uggalepih section. Don't mind jobs for this part, as it shouldn't be difficult or take too long. Maybe someone with /THF would be useful though.

For the final battle I'd like the following:
Klai - PLD/WAR
Dem - MNK/NIN
Fait - WHM/???
Tov - BLM/???
Ennui - MNK/WAR
Negata - DRG/???

Cardians will be easy. Sleepga, then pick them off one by one. Order is Batons(BLM)->Coins(RDM)->Swords(PLD)->Cups(WHM). We can pause before the WHM to get MP back.
Second part of the fight will be slightly harder, but still nothing to worry about. Dem will run to the Wyvern, and kill it with {Hundred Fists}. Everyone else will pile on the Manticore. Job done.

This mission WILL get done this weekend. If people don't turn up, they don't get completion. I'm not missing another impossible to get Outpost, thank you very much. See you all Saturday.

Demandred > I also do not have the QSC thing done, but that should be no issue. Klaital and I farmed up Uggalepih keys the other week to prepare so we have fewer keys to worry about farming up on the fly. Since missions *will* get done this weekend, I will push forward and start off the homework ASAP. (10/02/22 21:41)
Fait > Dem: we only need 1 key, so if you have one, then that's great. (10/02/23 14:21)
Klaital > You really want me subbing White Mage? I can, but I'm not sure I follow the logic... Regardless, I'll be ready! (10/02/26 17:22)
Tovari > hxxp://bit[dot]ly/7wZPb0 I don't anticipate being late, but just in case I hit traffic (or traffic hits me)... Well, I'll prep now. (10/02/27 02:09)
Tovari > BTW if someone could bring along a Black Cloak that I could borrow, that'd be swell. (none at the AH) (10/02/27 02:47)
Fait > Klai: clearly a TYPO! (10/02/27 03:23)
Negata > Obviously you mean TYOP (TPYO is acceptable too for lolmelee) (10/02/27 08:02)
Ennui > Still have not seen anyone around to do the QSC thing with yet, but the good news is that the Cooking Guild points are pouring in! (10/02/27 09:02)
Ennui > Alrighty, I'm sitting next to the Goblin Geologist NPC at the QSCs waiting for some pressure-door assistance. (10/02/27 16:01)
Ennui > Negata and I just ran for score #2, so I'll be waiting by the OPw NPC in Port Windurst around 8pm EST. (10/02/27 16:53)
Klaital > I have a Black Cloak I'd be happy to bring for Tovari. If people need QSC still, please come in early at least. I've not seen anyone ask in LS for QSC help all week when I've been in. (10/02/27 17:42)

3. Complete 9-2 up to the Temple of Uggalepih part.

We will meet up in Windurst for Tele-Yhoat, and go farm an Uggalepih Key.
Then we will go kick ass in the final battle. The fight doesn't look too difficult providing everyone is awake. I'd like Klai back on PLD, and Tov on BLM for this one.
Tovari > Hit a snag doing the Quicksand Caves leg. Lousy pressure activated floors. I'll need an assist later. (10/02/15 01:35)
Fait > Yeh sorry, my bad. Completely forgot about them. Had I been out of bed at 7:30 this morning I'd have come out. (10/02/15 05:17)

Windurst 8-1/2 - Sat 13th Feb(open)10/02/11 15:16(74)
First off, apologies for last week.

I believe this is where we currently find ourselves:
Klaital, Demandred, Ennui and myself have completed 7-2, and got our Wands for 8-1. In my case, I have already completed 8-1, and started on the 8-2 cutscenes.
Tovari and Negata have their Keys for 7-2, I don't know if either of them have completed that mission though.

So for this week, can you two make sure you've completed 7-2, and done as much as you can for 8-1. This means doing the run to the Qu'Hau Spring in Ro'Maeve, and then speaking to Sedal-Godjal for the first time.

We'll only need to fight Dirtyhanded Gochakzuk once. He's not too much trouble providing we have a sleeper. I'm thinking Klai-BLM, Dem-WAR, Tov-WAR.

We'll then try to blast through as much of 8-2 as possible before I pass out. Hopefully if we get the fight done against the Queens, we should be set. 8-2 can be closed out in your own time, and 9-1 can potentially be done as homework, since there is no fight involved.

That would leave us with 9-2 on the 20th, as per the original plan.
Tovari > Sedal-Godjal spoken to. Thank goodness for Reraise III. (10/02/13 01:44)
Fait > Ok, thanks. Negata is also at the same point, so you're both ready for wands now. (10/02/13 08:07)
Ennui > I'll try and get the rest of that done this afternoon - need to dig up some maps for this and hope I don't die a horrible death alone.... (10/02/13 08:57)
Ennui > Alrighty, I'll be hopping on at 8pm EST - I am sitting outside the cracked wall @ G-8 where the 2 Cardian Queens spawn. (10/02/13 14:45)

Following on from last week's successful run, I was going to aim for 3 missions again this week. However we'll be waiting on NM spawns "a lot", and then the start of 8-2 is lots of time consuming running about.

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Awakening_of_the_Gods
I'd like everyone to be finished on the 4 opening cutscenes: Leepe-Hoppe/Kerutoto/Romaa Mihgo/Vanono. You must have these, or you'll be wasting your key.
We'll head out to Uggalepih, using the shortcut through Rancor, to get to Bonze Marberry. Dem and Tov have already got keys, and the CS for this. Klaital and Negata also have keys, but are yet to complete. This leaves Ennui and myself needing keys, so we'll only have to kill him once.
*I would recommend reseting your Tonberry Hate.*

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Vain
A bit of running around, and then this is very similar to the last mission. Dirtyhanded Gochakzuk will present us with slightly more of a problem than Bonze Marberry though.
You'll need Invisible for the cavern, all Orcs are sight.

I would recommend that the running around portion of 8-2 be done as homework for the following week. That week (13th Feb) will be the 8-2 fight, a run through the Ruins/Canal again (so much fun), and then Gobbue farming in the Tree for 9-1. I'm going to leave 9-2 until the next session (20th Feb), as it's massive.

It it unlikely Tov can make next week, so this'll be put back until Sat 30th.

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Full_Moon_Fountain_(Mission)
Easy fight. We will sneak pop, wait 2m30s and pull (/ra) one of the cards away. Jack of Batons (BLM) seems like the most popular choice. He can be silenced.
Normal job setup for this. KlaiPLD, FaitWHM, everyone else DD. Ennui: I want you /WAR for the fight, then you can /DNC for the second part for Sneak, since you'll still get aggro in Toraimarai Canal.

People might want to work on getting access to Toraimarai Canal via the following quest: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Toraimarai_Turmoil
This isn't vital though, as we should all have Portal Charms now anyway.

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Saintly_Invitation
First part of this is a BC in Balga's Dias. I'll want Tov on BLM for this for Sleepga. Kill order is SMN>NIN>SAM>WHM. Seems fairly straight forward for a full party. Second part is a run through Castle Oz. I'll guess the passwords when we reach the trap door, it's soooo much easier than actually running round gathering them. We have at least 2 Judgement Keys between us, so that part is sorted already.
Klaital > Dem and I duo'd 6-1 last night. Easy as hell, and we didn't even resort to 75 jobs. NIN65+SMN64, and we still had to hold back to let the others despawn. So if y'all end up ready before Dem and I finish in Dynamis, feel free to run 6-1 early. We're ready for for the BC in Saintly Invitation. (10/01/18 11:14)
Fait > Yeh, I'm under the impression I could easily solo the BLM as WHM75. (10/01/18 12:45)
Klaital > You could even do it the hard way - have each person solo their own cardian! I actually suspect I could solo that the hard way (fighting all 4 at once) on PLD >.> (10/01/18 17:14)
Ennui > I think I'm going to have to rely on my Portal Charm, as I won't be able to clear Blue Ribbon/Tora Turmoil without another person or two assisting. Remind me about the Judgement key - I have it in storage. (10/01/19 12:29)

Following a suggestion by Nimbex during last week, I think I want to get a group together to do the following.

ASA4: Sugar-coated Directive http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Sugar-coated_Directive
Trial by Fire/Earth/Water/Wind/Ice/Lightning
The Wondrous Whatchamacallit http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/The_Wondrous_Whatchamacallit

They can all be done at the same time, which is nice.
You can do the Shantotto mission fights even if you don't have the addon, although you will only receive (2400)XP and (50k)gil from those if you are on the mission.
Obviously you will need your tuning fork key items for the avatar fights. This will get you a further 60k gil.
Also, you don't need Synergy 5 in order to collect the items for The Wondrous Whatchamacallit, and the wiki suggests that they are an excellent way to actually obtain Synergy 5.

I was thinking one evening/night this week, let me know if you are available and interested.

Fait > For "Waking The Beast"? The avatar fights for that could totally be added to the list. (10/01/12 22:00)
Fait > On second thoughts, I think we'd definately need a full party with a decent setup for those, whereas the other fights can be done with 2 or 3 75s. (10/01/12 22:07)
Ennui > It probably wouldn't be a bad idea for me to look into all of that - keep me posted on the plans for this. (10/01/13 08:55)
Negata > I'm up for avatars, at least. (10/01/15 07:37)
Nimbex > I'm keen on all three of these activities, if a time can work out. (10/01/15 08:59)
Fait > Not many days left this week now. How are people fixed for Saturday, given that we probably wont be missioning now? (10/01/15 09:43)
Demandred > It's not "Waking the Beast," but the regular avatar fights: it's to get the items for the Evoker's Ring. The avatar fights for the Shantotto expansion were defintely far easier, but we can get by with only a few 75s, if one each is a tank and a white mage. I have tanked some avatars, but that wasn't the plan for any of those times. :) As for Saturday, pre- or post-Dynamis is fine, so before noon PST or after 6pm PST. (10/01/15 19:50)
Morlock > I would enjoy these activities, however, I am still a bit behind on my ASA completion (10/01/16 00:20)

So, I guess we should be ready to do this soon.
I was thinking we should probably start next weekend, once I am back from the US. That would be Saturday, Jan 16th, at the old start time of 4PST/7EST/0GMT/??WST (I forget how many hours ahead Negata is now).

Let me know if that is convenient for everyone.

EDIT: Apparently Negata isn't where I thought he was, so we'll have to put this back a bit.

Tovari > We're good for now. I'll update when necessary. (10/01/12 00:16)
Tovari > Won't be able to make it this Saturday. Death in the fam. Tentative viewing day. (10/01/18 01:30)
Fait > No problem. Will postpone to the following week. (10/01/18 02:31)

So as some of you know, this week has been Faitfest 2009/10. Nimbex decided it was high time I got sea access, so I could attend Limbus.

I've been kinda stuck on 5-3 for a good year, so that's where we started at the begining of the week. Sunday and Monday nights dealt with that. We went smoothly on everything apart from the Moblins, which we lost once on due to a few communication errors. Tuesday night was 6-4, and oh my what a battle. We cleared first time in 21:48, which broke the server record, and with no deaths! Nimbex laughed in the face of [spoiler] and [spoiler]'s crap accuracy. Tonight we did 7-5, which we also swept through, and I entered sea for the first time \o/ I'm now up to 8-2 and have yet to die to a Shark or a UFO (it'll happen, I'm sure).

Many many thanks to Nimbex for organising these runs for me. It's very good to have an experienced hand at this kind of thing. Also thanks to Kireila, Elizara, Klaital and Demandred who have helped out pretty much every night this week too. Extra thanks to Izzy for helping on 5-3, Eli's friend Wyuli, and Morlock, who came along to 6-4, and then Beanie, Cydori and Jahn, who helped out with 7-5 and 8-1 respectively!

We're going to try and get me to the end of CoP before the end of the weekend, so if people are still willing to lend a hand, then they will be gladly welcomed.

Sivara > If you don't mind picking up another person for the final boss, Miyasha still needs that fight. We kept trying and failing on Tuesday night, so if he's online when you fight the final boss, it'd be great if you could help him out. ^^ (10/01/08 10:50)
Kireila > And Izzitda, too! Fait forgot to amend this post to add him in, but had recalled this verbally. ^^ (10/01/10 01:34)
Kireila > FaitFest 2010 is now over! Grats to Fait for finishing CoP! (10/01/10 19:38)
Cydori > Congratulations, Faitaru! ^^ (10/01/11 10:02)
Demandred > Congratulations Fait, on the speed run thorugh CoP! And on it being a lot smoother than Kireila's/Morlock's/Klaital's/my run. :) (10/01/11 23:11)

I think we are all pretty much set for starting on these missions now, apart from a lack of Tovari. Does anyone have any means of contacting him outside of the game?
Elizara > I might be able to msg him on LJ; Treasa might also know a way since he used to be in a XP static with her. (09/12/15 11:31)
Cydori > Haven't seen him in ages, but try the e-mail address listed in his CTY profile. (09/12/17 10:53)
Tovari > I'm here. Thanks, C. Game hasn't been a priority with the end of Fall disaster... I mean semester. That's over now... So. (09/12/19 01:18)
Tovari > 40k... Don't have that. (09/12/19 01:57)
Demandred > Tovari: don't worry - I'm sure that Windy'll fall from 1st any day now. It hasn't been in first very often lately ^^; (09/12/19 17:12)
Fait > Tov: no rush to change. We're all more than happy to wait, and once Windy are 3rd again, if you need help getting up to 5-1 we'll all be around to help. (09/12/20 13:16)
Demandred > For what it is worth, Windy is in 3rd place this week (week of Dec 20th). (09/12/20 15:07)

Looking to run ToAU-15 next Sunday at 12:00a GMT.
I know Vaudian and Shadowneko need this fight, and I think Nimbex wants to bring Semitry along.

This leaves us with 2 open slots. I would prefer to fill them with people who need the mission, but obviously if no-one does, then I would appreciate helpers!

Mission info is here, and remember you will need to confirm you have the "Ephramadian Gold Coin" key item to enter the BC.
Ennui > ME!!!!!! >:{ (09/12/15 11:08)
Demandred > Congrats on Fait, Vaudian, Ennui and Semitry getting clearance to Salvage. The next fight is not until ToAU Mission 22: "Shield of Diplomacy." Enjoy! (09/12/20 19:31)

Rawr.

I am back from my extended break. Negata's PC is almost fixed. This means we can start up Team Bastok Defectors again.

This is the current plan as I see it:
1. Switch over to Windy in your own time.
2. Get missions completed up to 5-1 (I am going to assume people are capable of killerising a dragon on their own this time).
3. Recommence killing of Archlich and [Spoiler] on a Saturday night in mid-December.

We will likely go with similar job setups as we had for most of the Bastok/Sandy fights. Obviously I will post up battle plans for each fight when we get to them.

Ennui: please work on getting WAR to at least 35, as I want you to be subbing that for these missions.
Ennui > Lol? Also, I think I will need an assist on the dragon since I'm not very confident about doing it alone. (09/11/30 15:48)
Fait > If I'm on when you do it, I'll be happy to assist. I was just leaving it to people to get themselves through in their own time, since I know we're all at different stages of getting to 5-1. (09/11/30 16:03)
Demandred > I have not changed nations yet (been waiting for the "all clear") but if Windy does not place in 3rd soon, I'll just eat the higher cost. (09/11/30 22:49)
Fait > Yeh, that's fine. I know you and Klai didn't want to change until it was necessary. Also I have no intention of making people eat the higher cost, so don't worry if that holds you up. (09/12/01 13:34)
Demandred > We've changed nations: the higher cost wasn't bas enough... and then Windurst defies my zone counting and hits 3rd after I change. ^^; Oh well, we are on Mission Rank 2 now. (09/12/06 10:12)
