My title says it all: Just as I was about to make another glorious return to my beloved FFXI after moving to WA state, I got compromised. S/E says they can restore me from a backup.
I still kinda feel violated though :S
Elizara > X_X Oh noes! Well, first of, I'd suggest you run some antivirus stuff and spyware cleaners; try to find out where that bug is (and consider reformatting). If you don't use Firefox, switch to it and make sure you install Adblocker Plus and Noscript! And follow this guide: forums.windower.net/topic/11323-guide-protecting-your-web-browser/ to get that set up with two additions: 1. Don't install that firewall they say, use Comodo instead. and 2. install this filter as well: www.keyvan.net/2006/11/remove-ads/ . If yer already using Firefox, check and see if there's anything in your extensions that says something about MS..if there is, REMOVE IT! (Hand removal instructions here: www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article08-600 ). Also if you haven't: BUY THE SECURITY TOKEN ASAP. So I have 100some odd seals knocking about, and was wondering if people would like to spend an afternoon grinding through BCNMs for cash and prizes.
