Man wok has kept me freaking busy busy busy!!!! Ive barely had time to be on! I even missed Demandred and Klai coming to San antonio to meet them! :(
shoot my cell phone didnt even give me the voice mail till 2 days after the fact!!!! Hopefully things will calm down a little, i cant complain about my overtime to much gave me enough extra money in the budget to get my PS3 afterall :3

So due to a certain Nimbies generousness, and a 100k loan i was able to garner my hands onto an Organics sword :3 Already paid the Nim back too! noticeable difference too on my dmg output and crit hitting. Also Hawaii was a blast ill keep yall posted on when all my pics and HDR images are done and uploaded to my devart account! Looking for putting together a static group to do the crystaline prophecy storyline from start to finish, i know there's a few parts in it that require a good party to kill some NMs. If you dont have the booster pack yet get it, storyline for it so far seems very interesting!
I'm looking to start Friday June 5th around 8-9 central time zone.
A WHM with all the tele's would be nice too ;p

Well followed some advice and went to solo those yags instead out in w. saruta. 1st Yag piper I killed gave me my glue and a copy of dragonfoe mambo (50k AH price) i had my NPC out so figured eh WTH and proceeded to some yag cursing for shits and giggles!
Got my pants, got my gloves, started the head piece, and proceeded to compete in a dance off vs troupe Valeriano (1st place circus group) Kicked their ass and got my body piece!! Woo!!! So 3/5 on my DNC AF :3

Ok so started my AF for DNC and am need of some assistance in the good ol castle of Oz in the past to curse some yagudo into some glue! And then I shall have dancer pants! Most mobs are lvl 77+ so id appreciate some nice lvl 75 help! Not sure when to schedule this due to my germany trip and going to Austin this weekend! But lets just say this Sunday night @ 6p.m. Texas time! If interested let me know! ;D

Lothiriel > I got my glue of wimpy Yags in Saruta [S], you should have no problem solo'ing those on PLD. Not sure about drop rate though, took me like 20-30 kills (as NIN/DNC). I camped at E-6, there are 3-4 spawns over in that area. (09/05/15 10:32)

This is a non-FFXI related post! Just havent posted anything in a while, busy with work brewing and FFXI lol :3
So made and a coffee stout recipe of my own invention about 2 months ago, and after bottling and a month of attenuation, the beer came out AWESOME! very dark, malty and has a nice crisp kona coffee finish. Yes ladies and creepy things I used 100% Hawaiian Kona coffee in the recipe and its fantabulous! Three weeks ago I made an IPA also of my own recipe but an all grain (made without any form of extract) it was over 13 lbs of cracked grains and 6 ounces of 4 stages of hops! Bittering, flavoring, aroma, and dry hopped! Took a taste test when moved to secondary and I coulda kegged it right then it was AMAZING! added 3 lbs of honey and 2 ounces of ground ginger root. A honey Ginger IPA! anyways i plan to make a label with a bee dressed as the indian diety of shiva lol XD
So on the 21st I will be away from the world of Vana Diel for a little over a week. I will be hanging out with my family in Germany, enjoying the sights, the beers, and european wimins! What is best in life!?

So made my spiced American Wheat beer last night. Gonna call it "Amber Wave" and make a very patriotic label with a wheat field and an american flag. Should save them for when 4th of July hits, but I'll be in Hawaii at turtle bay resort then :3
Edit: Found out that most of the founding fathers of this country even brewed their own beer as well. George Washington even had a massive hops garden :3
Then prohibition came along and completely screwed over homebrewing and american made beers for the next 60 years! And this is why we mostly only have budweiser and coors..... and the rest of the world laughs at us for it :(
But come this May I shall be in Teh Reinlaund! (heir hermany.... er, Germany ya) Plan to take a few brewery tours and try some authentic german liquid bread! woo hoo!

So aparently I will now have free time considering I'm single again, which is totally gay. I seem to have a habit of attracting the crazies of the opposite sex ><
Anyways! I seem to get about 16-18k of xp per night goofing off in campaign. Currently I have 2 merit points and am 3k off from my third. I want to unlock Chivalry before doing any serious merit/buffer xp parties. Hey who can pass up free mp :3
after that I will merit Enmity, Vit, crit hit, and some others, probably Iron Will and such..... After getting a total meritted defense boost I really really want to try dynamis and nyzul :3
Ps Gir is a paldin cause of his love of tacos.... Im totally going to draw Gir in PLD AF now... :3

Elizara > Requin; they do on a sliding scale. Like if you saw me on a level 10 job, you'd notice I would have 10 mp. They kick in at a rate of one every 10 levels or so. (09/02/19 15:34)
Morlock > +ENM is not only bad for mages, it is also bad for melee DD's as taking the hate means that you have to start doing things to mitigate the damage (for me as SAM that means I have to play with Seigan/Third Eye up as opposed to Hasso, which greatly reduces my damage output - WARs may be forced into using Defender . . . etc etc etc). Anyway, I would suggest that you think about that a bit more before committing to it, there are plenty of other worthy merits to be gotten while you mull it over. Merits are applied at a rate of 1 merit level per 10 job levels - the wiki talks about that in detail. (09/02/19 16:38)
Nimbex > A mage job with enmity+ merits is not hurt so bad, in my experience. Especially any healing mage, a couple enmity one way or another is unlikely to be life and death. Also, with talisman obis, mages can make up some enmity-. I really think it's the melee DD jobs which suffer more than mages with enmity+, for the reasons Morlock mentioned. But, yeah, if you really don't think it's likely it'll affect you, you can go with it. I just figure crit+/crit- help so many jobs that this way I don't end up with annoyance from merits in enmity either direction. (09/02/20 08:42)

Lothiriel > Don't merit vitality! And yeah a couple of +enmity won't kill you. DNC has a lot of -enmity gear, and even you get hate as DNC it's not big deal, since it can tank nearly as well as a NIN. (don't merit agility either ^^;;) (09/02/25 13:19)

So! As a few of us are approaching the 75 mark (YAY!) I'm looking to get my Assault linkshell up and running! Anyone interested in joining a semi-static assault group sign up let me know. We will most likely focus on Nyzul Isle runs.
This group will have rules albeit very lax lol.
1: you will say "Ni" after everything.
2: you will bring shrubbery
3: at no point unless otherwise told are you to say:
"icky icky fli-klang voop boing om nom um num num"
4: you must cut down the biggest tree in the sanctuary of z'tahl with a herring
(freeze it first it works better)

Morlock > This is where I point out that you can do Cap-50/60/70 Assaults. So, in thoery, anyone 50+ can attend. I tend to think a static works better for arranging assaults, rather than a LS specifically for it, Hakhi has been running hers with great success for months. I definately want to do more assaults - it is in fact part of my strategic plan for my tuesday storyline static - most of the members of my 2 weekly statics would also be interested also, I have seen Liriel express interest in this as well - posting some convenient dates/times might get you more bites, also, staying on LS means you might be able to find a random rep more quickly. The main reason for a linkshell was so I can use linkshell.org to organize and post messages, as of yet I dont have a set date for assault. Requin’s Snicker-doodles of DOOM!!

Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1 large egg
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
• 4 Tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Extras:
• 4 servings sleeping potion / applied Opo-opo necklace
• 4 servings of Swift Blade
• 1 Serving of Shield Bashing to Da FACE! >:3
• 1-2 castings of Cure IV
• 1 Icarus Wing
• 1 Use of Invincibility
• 1-2 castings of Reprisal
• 1 16oz. can of whoop ass!
• 1-2 Yagudo drinks
• 1 Persikos Au Lait
• Makes 30-48 cookies
• Don’t use “extras” to make “real” cookies


Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, beat the butter on medium speed for 30 seconds.
Add the 1 cup sugar, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.
Beat in the egg and vanilla until well blended.
Beat in as much flour as you can with the mixer, and stir in remaining flour.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.
Combine the 4 tablespoons sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Shape the dough into 1 inch balls and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture to coat. Place balls of dough 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 11 minutes or until edges are beautifully golden.
Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.

Once cooled, head to Ru’Lude Gardens In the port city of Jeuno. Give Maat your Paladin’s Testimony, enter the burning circle, proceed to take a bit of a nap and get some tactical points till your at 100%, walk up to Maat all nonchalant, give him some cookies, while hes distracted,using your “extras” DESTROY HIM!!! >:3
Much love for the support and items to send Maat to the hospital with food poisoning! \( ‘o’)/

Fight in a nutshell:
Took a nap, went upstairs, gave Maat the pointy end of my sword, won fight. XD

OK… not so much nutshell:
Went into the circle “naked”
Used sleeping potions till 100% TP
Ate a yag drink, a persikos au lait, and some carbonara (all cooked up by our resident chef Elizara (aka nurse Boo Boo Kitty))
Cast Prot III, Shell III, and Reprisal
Fought Maat:
Was warned hed start with a flash but he didn’t, he actually “Maat Bashed” me first but I had waited to use my WS just in case he did flash so as soon as I wasn’t stunned I blasted him with a Swift Blade, used an Icky wing nailed him with a second Swift Blade. At this point I let the fight go with just trading blows, knowing soon a WS was coming I had my shield bash macro ready, then I saw it Maat readies “Asuran Fist” I smacked my macro and sure enough stunned him, blocked the dreaded weapon skill. So a few blows later my TP is near 100% I use Sentinel and after Maat slapped me around a few more hits he used Spinning Fist. For Sentinel still being barely in effect it did a decent amount of dmg, nearly 280. Every time Maat flashed me I flashed him, so we had a bit of a missed hit fest going on every once in a while. I think I only had to cure IV myself once, when Maat used his Invincible I cast Banish II and Holy, did some ok dmg. Once his Invincible was over I used mine, just in time too to circumvent another WS (don’t remember which one)
My 4th WS was another Swift Blade Maat was sitting at ¼ HP at this point he punched me about 3-4 more times every hit was blocked with reprisal active doing extra damage, Maat proceeded to throw in the towel. Was an interesting fight wasn’t nearly as hard as most people made it out to be, but I can understand how he can get the better of people…
