CommentZoofster-Elooster, aspiring mage of all sorts. I suppose he's not really a slackertaru anymore, with having 75ed a bunch of his jobs now. He has a perchance for hugging people for any reason he can find. Hugs are good. He doesn't even need a reason, either! Don't you like hugs?

Never has enough money and is usually under-equipped. Maybe that'll change if he ever feels like farming... which he never does. Or if he takes up crafting... which he is too impatient to do. Well, I guess he has enough money now to work off of. But he keeps on getting more and more expensive tastes.

I notice I die a lot more than I defeat enemies, but I think it only counts a defeated enemy if you get the kill shot. I really don't get kill shots at all being a support job most of the time. I guess I'm really talkative, though!
Morlock > um . . . enemies defeated = 10x deaths . . . this does not seem to be that bad a metric. Perhaps you should visit a taru eye doctor? (09/05/20 14:55)
Zaalus > eeeww, such low death count. You need to get that much higher! (09/05/20 15:16)
Zoofster > If you count kills in exp parties, I've participated in the killing of probably 100x my death count in monsters, or more. It's really ridiculous how many mobs you end up killing to level up jobs. (09/05/21 00:32)

Well, I didn't get much response before. Hopefully I can get some advice now since I have two new jobs at 75 where I'm not entirely sure where to stick merits.

On PLD, Sentinel Recast is a no-brainer, but I'm not sure what else to put points into for group 1. For group 2, Chivalry and Fealty look like winners. Do I need to consider Iron Will or Guardian for points?

Summoner I think has to go to Physical Attack/Physical Accuracy, but with the changes to the group 2 merits, do they suddenly become viable for damage? And on that note, which (if any) of the group 2 merits should I invest in?
Lothiriel > Guardian is good. I would do 5 Chivalry, 4 Guardian, and 1 Fealty. Group 1 5/5 Sentinal for sure. Other group 1s are meh. I either wouldn't bother, or split between Rampart and Cover. SMN... eeeehhh... hurts my brain. (09/04/24 13:25)
Elizara > What I've been hearing since the update is ignore phys acc, go with phys attack and magical attack. So much acc up gear for avatars, you needen't worry. Also if you wanna know; group 2 IS viable for damage and not just for the giggles anymore; I've had {Heavenly Strike} break 1k on Garuda's head on at least 3 seperate occasions since the update. (09/04/24 15:35)
Elizara > Oh and just so ya know; I plan on unlocking all of the Group 2 attacks, but I have not decided which I'm gonna put more than unlock in yet. I'd suggest you do the same and then figure out which avatar you want his/hers to hit harder. (09/04/24 15:38)
Nayami > You might wanna read the thread on BG concerning the new update to SMN but the new trend would be to go 5/5 in atk and 5/5 in MAB since the new update actually make those BP worth it. o.o There's a really interesting discussion over in the BG forums about it. (09/04/24 19:09)

Maybe I should update. I mean, it's been a long while, and just some random talk could do me some good!

So, first of all, with the help of the Assault Static, most of us hit Captain. Ebin's still lol and hasn't done the last ToAU fightaru, but once he gets that done, he'll be a Captain too. We can all benefit from having five tags at once, though! The FL assaults are all pretty straight forward, even if they have some chance involved (If Orochi decides to spam his AE Curse/Poison/Damage ability, you're pretty much screwed no matter what you do). But Supplies Recovery is TOTAL BULLSHITARU. It's just such a crapshot. On that note, we're going to climb Nyzul Isle now, and with our group I think we'll do just fine.

Second, I've gotten Paladin 75 and am working on SMN 75, only 10k more exp to go. For PLD, what kind of merits are good? I know Sentinel Recast is awesome, as-is Chivalry because more MP more better. Beyond that, what should I invest in?

Third, staff is up to 230, and that means Retribution! I've already gotten the staff latent worked off, so just need to take a trip to Ifrit's Cauldron and kill a skeleton. Funfunfun.

A few nights ago, we got killed a bunch of times by Vivian, but then turned around and brought immense firepower in to blow it to kingdom come! No ring, unfortunately. Just a Black Ribbon.

The WHM adjustments are awesome. Armored cures, more spells (including an AE status removal), lowered casting time and MP cost on raises, all good. Very happy with that change. Now only if we could remove Amnesia...

The SMN adjustments are 'About damn time'. Hastega should have always overwritten Slow, it was just lazyness that prevented it. The increase on range for BP:Wards is VERY much appreciated. I hated having to run into AE range to make sure my pet covered my party with whatever ward I used. Not expending BP:Rage and MP when enemies run out of range is so nice now. Now, avatars probably should fire their BPs off right away, instead of a 3 second wind-up, but this is a good compromise. And now I don't get as pissed if my BP gets canceled from range. Finally, I don't know if this was in the notes, but if your avatar is sleeping/stunned/otherwise cannot execute a BP, the game won't let you execute the BP command, saving you from wasting it. If they get slept/stunned after executing, it's still wasted, but otherwise it won't fire. I appreciate it, really, but that's more of a 'About time'. All these things probably should have been in effect from the start.

The RDM adjustments are mostly meh. En-spell 2 really doesn't fill me with joy, and from the description and the math, En-spell 1s will do more damage with a joytoy. On the other hand, Composure is amazing, if only to self-refresh. 40 MP for 7 minutes and 30 seconds of refresh is a great deal, as-is self-casting haste, en-spells, and phalanx. And making stoneskin last for three times as long is much better than you may think if you ever do the FL assaults. Re-casting stoneskin is important but also time-consuming, and composure really alleviates that. The drawback on composure is easily mitigated if you cancel it before casting debuffs, I just wish composure let you extend the duration on spells cast on OTHERS too. Maybe make that a job trait at level 70 or something. Red Mage lacks any good new spells at that point.

ToAU has been completed, thanks in no small part to Miyasha, Phht, Lothiriel, Drexel, and Treasa. We beataru that colossus really good! This is really surprising to me, actually, because I just offered to help Phht out with this on a whim and, partially, as a joke, but he really went back and started climbing through ToAU for Treasa and myself, but along the way we grabbed Lothiriel and Drexel.
Lothiriel > I kind of want to do the fight again because I missed a great opportunity for a screen shot at the end :( (08/12/08 11:10)
Cydori > Congratulations! ^_^ I want to see pics of you in the crown. I'll bet it's adorable. ^^ (08/12/08 12:17)
Phht > I was SO determined to beat the damn mission, I would drag people through the entire damn line just so I could have the party for that fight. Did someone screencap the OVER NINE THOUSAND joke? Because it fit perfectly there. >.> (08/12/08 21:12)

I suppose I should list out what I want out of Nyzul, since it's the 'in' thing to do!

Armor:
1. Goliard Cuffs
2. Goliard Clogs
3. Goliard Trews

Weapons:
1. Werebuster
2. Brave Blade*
3. Scepter Staff

* Seeing how Hakhi is also a PLD, I'll pass on it if I don't have PLD 75 achieved when it drops. Similarly, I'll likely want to roll on the PLD set when I get PLD up to 75, but there's going to be lots of competition for those pieces.

So I have SCH now, and I want to level it. In fact, I'll probably try to blitz it up to level ~60. Any advice from you SCHs out there on what gear I may need that I don't already have from my previous mage leveling?
Izzitda > Pocket protector. (08/10/25 09:58)
Zaalus > exploding choco's, wait.. err..um. Drunk choco's work better! (08/10/31 12:31)
Zoofster > Kazham Firagad Chocobos! (08/10/31 13:47)

8-3 and 8-4 completed! Thanks to Nimbex, Hakhi, Elizara, Chesh, Makei, and Lotheriel for doing the final two fights with me. Also, thank you to all the others who helped me through the CoP madness, including: Zaalus, Izzitda, Kahri (who is no longer playing), Miscuicide (who doesn't check this), and some others I unfortunately have forgotten the names of. It's been years for me to forget the names. :(

Went pretty smoothly except for Nimbex's Leeeeerooooy moment at the beginning of 8-4, but that was still pretty awesome in true CtY fashion. It's too bad you couldn't make it Tharpy, either through RL issues or just forgetting. When you need to do 8-3, let me know and I'll try to help you out.

Now all I have left to do is some cutscenes after JP midnight, and then I'm ready to start Storms of Fate or whatnot. :3
Sivara > Yay! Grats! Did you pick out a ring? (08/10/11 20:23)
Tharpy > sorry about missing without notice... guess i didn't read the dates close enough :( saturday didn't work for me due to RL stuff :( (08/10/11 22:09)
Tharpy > congrats on completion! (08/10/11 22:11)
Zoofster > Yeah, I think I'm going to get the Rajas Ring because store TP and subtle blow and str/dex on a ring are all things I really don't have. The Sattva Ring doesn't really appeal to me: my PLD already has two good rings, and while being a career mage the Tamas ring would be an excellent choice, I'm not really hurting at all for more MND/INT/-emnity nor more MP. Also, melee rings tend to be much more expensive than tanking or caster rings, and str/dex are two things you use simultaneously while you can macro in int/mnd respectively for their spells. (08/10/12 08:47)
Sivara > I believe Nimbex had similar logic. Besides, Rajas is hot for any melee jobs you may level in the future. (08/10/12 17:58)
Zoofster > Exactly! That's the main reason I haven't really done melee jobs: eqiupment for them tends to be much more pricy. (08/10/13 09:12)
Zoofster > About Gelsheba-ness: The time slots are never reserved from my experiences. But you still need 100 BP to register a slot, so I guess I have to find a ballistia that's actually running. (08/10/17 16:37)
Zaalus > Bout damn time football! Grats! Now go get punted! (08/10/17 17:38)

As some people have noticed, I'm still on CoP 8-3. So close to finishing, yetaru not complete. I'd like to finish the storyline in an expedient manner, as I don'taru feel that the last two fights are very problematic compared to, say, some of the other spoilerific Airship fights.

At the moment, scheduling is a little sporadic, but if people would like to help out I'd greatly appreciate it. I heard from several people they'd like to fight the final 8-4 boss again thanks to a particular spoilertastic event in it.

People for 8-3:
Time: 12:00 CST, SAT
Location: Sea
-------------------
Zoofster - RDM/BLM
Tharpy - DRK/???
Nimbex - WHM/BLM
Hakhi - PLD/???
??? - ???
??? - ???
Nimbex > I'm willing and able to help. I have NIN and WHM, of course. I usually find Sundays optimal, but not all are practical. For 8-3, I figure it's probably not as hard as it seemed back then, but I would suggest two good sleepers, or at least people with WHM/BLM for ES. And then some fast damage. In any event, this needn't be an all-day event, so I could do it MWF after Salvage, Saturday morning, any time Sunday. Even before TAU is done, we could be trying for this, if there's enough help. 6x75 will probably be fine, without being picky about jobs. I'd be likely to suggest my WHM for 8-3 and NIN for 8-4. (08/09/29 15:05)
Sivara > I'm also willing to help. Weekends are best for me, though this weekend may be iffy. (08/09/29 19:57)
Zoofster > This weekend will likely be eaten by Chesh, HoR, and ToAU static/TAU missioning. In that order. But I think next weekend should be more free. (08/09/30 09:53)
Hakhi > I can also help so long as I get called in for Storms of Fate, which I'm still on! (08/09/30 12:48)
Cydori > I think Tharpy and Aarahs are both on the BC part of 8-3. You might want to check with them. Also, do not confuse Aarahs with Arah, even if they are both Mithra! ^_~ (08/09/30 13:45)
Zoofster > Well have them drop me a line here so I can try and put something together! I don't think I'm acquainted with either of them? (08/10/01 03:54)
Tharpy > *pokes* yeah..i'm stuck on the 8.3 fight as well... weekends would generally work best for me right now (08/10/03 19:28)
Zoofster > Okay! Well, we'll try and do 8-3 next weekend. If we can get started around noon, that should leave people enough time to do things during the rest of the day so they can make it. Also, if you can get Aarahs to drop me a line, I'd love to include her. ^_^(08/10/06 15:05)
Cydori > As it turns out, Aarahs actually finished CoP at some point, though I didn't realize it. ^^; She would be willing to help if you needed her, but if there's other people who need CoP, they should come first. Also, I'll be busy pretty much all next weekend, so I can't come help. (08/10/06 17:39)
Nimbex > For 8-3, my WHM is probably better, since I can ES-sleepga, and curebomb DDs. For 8-4, NIN at night is likely a good idea. Or WAR with Hermes. (08/10/07 10:04)
Sivara > I will be WAR/NIN or maybe /SAM. (08/10/07 10:52)
Hakhi > 75jobs atm PLD, BRD, WAR. I can tank I can sing I can dance. ok well I can't dance. but w/e you want me to bring. (08/10/07 18:13)
Tharpy > DRK Main NIN/SCH/WAR possible subs... though nin is without Ni, might still work. which day? Saturday/Sunday? (sunday works much better for me this weekend) (08/10/07 21:42)
Zoofster > I thought I listed it, but I guess not. Saturday is the day we're going because Sunday is a 'bit busy. ALTHOUGH, if Hakhi and Sivara decide not to static Sunday, we can do it that day instead. I think we'll need you to tank this, Hakhi, using whatever sub you think is appropriate. For DRK subs, I really don't know, although lack of Ni makes /NIN a little less appealing.(08/10/08 09:48)
Sivara > What time Saturday? I may be visiting family during the day. Evening would work for me though. (08/10/08 12:04)
Zoofster > *points at 12:00 time.* Noon CST Trying to work around Nimbex's schedule, static, and stay in the weekend. ^^; (08/10/08 12:07)
Sivara > Hur hur, I can't read. Noon won't work for me. ^^; Fortunately, I'm replaceable! Any solid DD will work. (08/10/08 20:47)
Zoofster > So we still need two DDs on Saturday. Hmmm... (08/10/09 15:32)
Shadowneko > too bad I still need like 20 missions or so before that Zoofy or THF boy might be in (08/10/10 09:11)

So it's come to my attention that there are some people in CtY that are interested in Diorama Abjalis-Ghelsba, including me! I've never been there, nor done any Ballista in fact, but I'm interested in going there at some point and would like to take bundle-wundles of people with for great fun times killing each other. Would interested people please step forward and put down what times you'd be able to make? I'm not too particular, although I don't know what kind of level cap (if any) there would be. I'll be looking up information on how to reserve a time for us if there's interestaru.
cealia > hi! i'm interested as you know. i've never done it either but it sounds fun! i have tuesdays free, usually saturdays before 5 pm mst, and any other day after 1030 pm mst. (08/09/09 12:24)
Cydori > CYDORI SMASH. Best times for me are Wednesday nights, Thursday nights, and some Sunday afternoons/evenings. (08/09/09 12:29)
Treasa > ME ME!!! (08/09/09 18:21)
Treasa > *facepalm* i forgot times... um... currently free thursdays usually after 9, wednesdays, thursdays, saturdays given advance notice and most sundays before 4 (08/09/09 19:15)
Sivara > Sounds fun. I'm free any time except for Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri nights and Sundays during static. (08/09/09 19:20)
Miyasha > currently available: monday nights, wednesday-friday nights, saturday all day (08/09/09 19:22)
Zoofster > I'd like to note that to *reserve* a time, I will (or someone else will) need to do a little Ballista to get some points to reserve a time slot. (08/09/10 09:39)
Zoofster > At the momentaru it looks like there's not enough interest, so I'll throw this on the backburner for now. (08/09/25 11:38)
Shadowneko > depending on a certain silly sister I'll come and get killed anythime! (08/10/10 09:12)

Rumors of my departure were completely accurate! But I'm back, after having spent some time away and realizing my account was still active. Silly silly me.

I'm going to avoid being so active this time around, instead taking a casual approach to the game, so don't be surprised if I leave for weeks on end or somesuch. I don't want to burn out and leave everyone again. ^^;
cealia > it was so nice doing besieged with you <3 glad you're back! (08/09/02 20:53)
Shadowneko > wow Zoofy is still here? (08/09/03 07:16)
Zaalus > *Punts Zoofster!* Woo Hoo! Look at that taru fly! (08/09/03 10:02)
Zoofster > Wheeeeeeeeeeeee! Oh, question, does anyone still have a pearl to ShikigamiWeapon or whatever it's called now? (08/09/03 15:43)
Nimbex > I bet Twoofy has some! 'course, it's nice if there's someone to put in a good word for you, but still. Last I heard, they were open and friendly. (08/09/04 11:19)
Guppy > Twoofy had real-life stuff, so he's not around too often these days. Garik is running the shell last I heard! (08/09/04 16:58)
Twoofy > Garik, Markuma, Daydream, and others can get you a pearl... Or Twootie, if you see me logged in, heheeh... (08/09/16 12:27)

Wowow, it's been a long time since I've written here. Too long! Lots has happened, among them being much much OOC stuff, self-enlightenment, and EQ2 gaming. I've missed a bunch of the more recent game updates and really need to catch up on some things. I mean, I don't have a clue as to what Salvage is, and I'm still just a superior private. XD

CoP seems to be going smoothly now that I'm in a mostly static now, with Zaalus and his crazy galka friends. I'm very far behind in terms of assault rank and ToAU missions though. I hear ToAU missions are easy, but I always miss when someone's going through them, and since I'm not on the last one I can't exactly go with the rush to do the latest missions. If there are people going through or willing to help out with them, please let me know.

Also, I still haven't gotten Diabolos yet, so if there are those looking to organize a run, let me know, okay? ^^

In more recent things I've been doing, I took summoner up to 54 (and plan on taking it at least to 60), and my paladin marker has gone up to 71. I guess I should work on the Evoker's Ring while I'm at it, so if I do end up taking summoner to 70+ I'll have it on-hand.

I will certainly be needing assistance with Summoner AF3 sometime soon. So when a few 75s don't mind romping through some traveling for a couple easy BC fights, let me know. ^^

Friends have left the game, changed, or are still hanging around. Even so, it's great to see many of you still around, and I hope to see more of you. ^_^
Sivara > I'm so glad you're back. I really missed you. I don't mind going back through the ToAU missions, and I've never done SMN AF3 so that sounds interesting! (06/10 20:04)
Nimbex > Ideally, find someone else on about the same mission. If there's two people who need it, it's more efficient for everyone. Any given trip-to-fight and fight tends to be no more than an hour, so I should easily be able to find some time with some warning. (06/11 09:08)
Treasa > Zoof I should introduce you to Shikagami Weapon a great SMN focused LS lead by Twoofy. (06/11 09:33)
Zoofster > I got a ShikigamiWeapon linkpearl from Izzy last night, but thanks for the offer. ^_^ (06/11 15:16)
Shadowneko > Zoof I'm still PFC if you wana help...I've only recently gotten intrested in TAOU (06/12 08:29)
Treasa > Oh good glad you got a Shikigami Weapon pearl. They are a great set of people who love to help out fellow SMNs. check out their webpage shikigamiweapon.com to sign up for events and ask for help. (06/12 09:08)
Cydori > I'm not 75 yet, but if you need help for the AF3 BC, poke at me! (06/12 09:18)

I guessey I should putaru something down. It's been a while since I've actually made an entry! I'm currently on a subjob leveling frenzy, trying to get DRK up to 37. Then I'll probably work on NIN or finish off SMN to 37, because they're not 37 yetaru... I'm thinking I should take DRK as a sub to Dynamis regularly. We usually have more than enough sleepga, but notaru nearly enough stunnage. c.c

In other news, I got my Duelist's Boots a while back, which means I'm 3/5 on RDM AF2. :3 I still wantaru that HAT, though! Such a shiny hat! When farming Dynamis - Beaucedine, don'taru the Hydra monsters drop AF2 more often than the normal Dynamis monster-wonsters?

Thanks to Lothi for organizing the CoP runs recently too! It was a greataru help to a lot of us to get our CoP missioning along. :3 Does anyone need a RDM for KSNM 30s? I'm looking to make some money to pay for some gear, like a Vermy to call my own and a lovely Scorpy Harness too!

Also, I found out why DRKs are so angsty! Itaru is because they can't keep their weapons capped in terms of skill as they level up. And they miss so much and have such a long delay... and when they do hit the monsters really don'taru like them. It hurts!

I should probably look up a ToD on Charybdis, so I can getaru myself a shiny shiny Joyeuse.
Lothiriel > I've been tossing the idea around of organizing some Operation Desert Swarm action for a Senju and some shiny gilz. RDM sounds useful for that! It will be on my journal when I get around to it... so keep an eye out. (08/16 11:37)
Nimbex > Rumor has it that the Hydras in Glacier drop more often, but we've only tried them once in DeathWishes. On that occasion, none of them dropped. In Xarcabard, the NMs definitely drop more often than the regular mobs, and the NMs seem to only drop their own job. I look forward to my next meeting with Prince Seere. As for Vermillion Cloaks, I'd probably be willing and able to sell you mine when the time comes. I am getting closer to needing more gil to finance goldsmithing, though platinum skillups were a nice change, being slightly profitable. (08/16 12:18)

Okay, so Zippipie is a bad influence, butaru... she's got a challenge for you! See, she's got this game she's playing and they got this item that turns them all into boyband members! And she wants to know if any of you would want to try and make a boyband screenshot that could possibly compete with this one. I'm... very eager for responses.

And yes, angsty boyband is what were looking for. So get your angstaru on!

Cydori > If we do it in San D'Oria, I can contribute Daeruen. He's all pretty and angsty and stuff. (04/13 06:27)

I finally-winally gotaru off my duff and decided to go after Bastok Mission rank 10. I'd like to get it before the next conquest tally, which means I have a lotaru of work to do! First I need to go kill some plasms in Gustav Tunnel. Shouldn't be too hard, rightaru?

Well... yes and no. They're easy to defeat, but every time you kill one two pop up in its place. Being slimes, physical is definetly NOT the way to tackle them, so I'm looking for mainly black mages, red mages, white mages, and summoners. Although some meleers or vokers would be helpful, and I suppose samurai or other jobs that can do instant spikes of damagae without TP building could help... or you could build TP on surrounding mobs. Regardless, mainly looking for magey types to send the slimes to a magic-filled oblivion (not the game!). Giving slimes lots of TP is a very good way to get killed, as we found out when killing the Sewer Syrup a while back. :/

Help would be appreciated, and really, you don'taru even need to have been on Bastok Missions or anything! Levels 65+, though. I don't know how accurate lower-levels would be, and this'll be taking place in Gustav tunnel, pulling past undead. The fight, since it's outside of a BC is not restricted on rank, current mission, or nationality.

Please (quickly) put down what times you can be here. ^^; Thankies in advance. *hugs*

Zoofster > Oh! Forgotaru to mention why I'm eager to get it done. I'd like to switch allegience to Windurst so I can go after the Master Caster's Bracelets. Since the fact that Windurst is in 2nd still doesn't let me buy the bracelets even though they're currently available to windurst citizens... yeah. Makes me annoyed. Butaru if I finish with Bastok, I can switch and start working on WMs! (04/09 13:27)
Zoofster > Oh, I forgot to mention. It'd be handy to have people who can hold hate and blink, too. To keep the slimes pre-occupied while the magic users are blowing the other ones up. Sleep can keep them down for a while, but if you don't have someone to hold hate after the slimes wake, they'll tear through the mages. ;_; I'm willing to try doing shots of melees doing elemental-type TP moves on the enemies, or TP attacks that ignore defense, but only if you can build TP on surrounding monsters or without hitting the slimes. Fluid spread can exceed 800 damage from these, according to reports, and that's a very fast way to kill people. :/ (04/09 13:34)
Sivara > Well, I could blinktank them, but I have to keep hitting stuff to hold hate, and I doubt I could keep hate through the nuking, unless Zan was there to SATA WS on me. (04/10 08:12)
Nimbex > Should time permit, I'll be prepared to Barwatera the group and such. It sounds like a quick trip, just one which needs a bit of people. (04/10 10:57)
Zoofster > It's a fairly quick trip. The key really is to hold hate when sleep breaks. Once the nukers start a volley, in theory they should go down really quickly, except for the two larger varieties. The smallest type actually has less than 500 or 600 hit points, so they can be easily taken out by a simple teir III spell. (04/10 12:07)

Yay good stuff happening! Today's Dyanims - Jeuno run was awesome in that we had lots of AF2 drop. Dark Knight, Monk, and Red Mage. Don't remember if any others dropped... Oh yeah! Warrior AF2 also! But I had the most points, so I ended up winning the pantarus. ^^ They might not be the best for some things, but I'll certainly make use of them! Too bad aboutaru not clearing though. A potched <Mega Boss> pull left us with eleventy-billion goblins on our faces while we desperately tried to take out the <Mega Boss>.

Not only that, yesterday I got Zanny, Sivvy, and Guppy to help me out (more like they offered to help, but I think I bugged them about it a lot too) in getting a Moldavite Earring. I was 0/6 on the stupid Profblix, but thanks to the Treasure Hunter of Zanny and Sivvy, (mostly Sivvy), itaru dropped! Along with a Burst scroll for GuppyBLM! Such a nice pair of days. ^^

So I felt like being helpful for various random things after that, so I went and helped kill a pair of mean orcs, twice, for some Galliant Surcoats. Gratsies to Linny and Treasa on those, btw. ^^ And I offered moral supportaru to Team B of the Ark Angels fightarus! They were getting beat pretty bad. I guess I was in a lucky group when I did itaru. XD

Oh! Recently I also took paladin up to 60, and I'm all shiny and like now! Itaru reminds me of Salsachip.... I'm notaru sure why, though.

I don't know what I'm aiming to do next. Just having fun for now!

Zoofster > Oh, sorry aboutaru fuzzyness. Getting the screenshot to a size small enough so it can be uploaded can really cut down on picture quality. :/ (03/28 22:06)
Sylf > Congrats on AF2! :D Do you have Adobe Photoshop? There's a "Save for Web" function that degrades the picture quality to reduce the space it takes. Works great for CTY screenies. ^^ (03/29 00:32)
Cydori > Congratulations! ^_^ Will you be a Flying Tarutaru Paladin of Doom someday? ^_~ (03/29 07:20)
Anoat > Yay RDM pants! (03/29 07:26)
Sivara > Pfft, that was all my TH2, baby. Glad I could help! (03/29 07:49)
Zoofster > Sylf: No, I don't have photoshop. I should see about getting it though, that should help out a lot! Cydori: Possibly! Only 10 more levels to do it, I think. Sivvy: I agree, all TH2. :D (03/29 08:56)
Nimbex > Sivara and Zan definitely have lucky tails when it comes to getting a Moldavite Earring. I was 0/3 until they showed up, and then was 1/4. Yay. (04/03 11:38)

I almost missed Dynamis today, but it's a good thing I didn't though. I feel kinda bad about Lightningbolt leaving Dynamis out of frustration for not getting the AF2 roll, but... Come on, he's got 3 pieces all ready.

Gotaru a lot of /tells and people saying congrats both in the LS and out, makes me feel pretty good. ^^ He earlier told me not to roll on RDM AF2 because he was ahead in points... butaru it was a free lot run. I don't know what kind of trick he was trying to pull, but I really can'taru appreciate someone who'd do that. It just feels unclean, you know? Butaru enough of that, I know Linmayu got some AF2 as well, and so did a <cat> <Paladin> along too! All-in-all, I think... 5 pieces dropped? PLD, MNK, RDM, BLM, and SAM. We didn't clear again, but at least we made it worthwhile!

*hugs his AF2 gloves* Hopefully the first of many. ^^

Zantetsuken > Is that a Nimbex borrowed Vermy or a All Zoofy vermy? o.o Congrats on the Af2 btw ^^ (03/08 07:17)
Cydori > Oooh, pretty! Congratulations! (03/08 08:20)
Zoofster > Yes, it's a Nimbex-borrowed. ^^; (03/08 09:51)
Sivara > Yay! (03/08 11:23)
Justanotherface > *grumbles something about whm af2 being utterly useless* (03/18 06:58)
Nimbex > There's good and bad about AF2 being useful. Only the body piece is really interesting to me. JSE pretty much precludes much need for AF2, in my book. It's great not having to pay for AF2, but it's nice being able to pay for gear and thus just plain guarantee having it. (03/21 11:35)
Beanie > Congrats Zoof ^^ My apologies for the rest, but... {equip}{macro}{You can have this.} WHM AF2 is one of the more solid sets availble (if you want to see useless, check out DRK or most of SAM). +20 to bar spells from Clerics legs and it stacks with the JSE, sign me up! Auto-Refresh on a body piece that doesn't take head slot and that isn't purchaseable (y'know, for those "lame" people who don't have 10m just laying around under their MH mattress), sign me up! It may take a little creativity and thinking outside of just being a cure-generator to see the benefits of WHM AF2, but rest assured that it's anything but useless. (There's also pointing out the obvious that AF2 came out before JSE did. I don't see one set replacing the other. It's a mix and match, situationally dependant). (03/21 14:22)
Izzitda > Auto-Refresh on a body piece that doesn't take head slot and that isn't purchaseable? SMNs get one of those. /cry (03/21 16:03)
Zoofster > Oh, I don't mind the derailing. :D And if I may point out, I know for one the WHM AF2 lets them out-bar a RDM. Which is kinda sad to me, because I like having a stupidly high resist from bar spells, but it does make sense to a point for WHMs to be better ataru it. In that they can spread the benefit to a whole group. :D And I so want the RDM auto-refresh piece. Auto-refresh HAT is for the win. *_* (03/21 21:05)
Nimbex > Yes! Equipment swapping is joyful, and the fact that WHM AF2 has many of the same abilities in different slots makes it lots of fun for stacking up benefits. I'm really keen on regen potency. For me, though, the enmity- of JSE is really important. (03/22 09:43)
Zantetsuken > your comment on Sam AF2 makes me cry beans: mainly because it's true for DDing sams ; ;. though the Domaru/Pants are excellent soloing/tanking pieces for sam, which is why I want the domaru to complement the pants ^^ (03/22 12:53)
Nimbex > And I am glad that, typically, even the things which "suck" have a good purpose. It might not be the 90%-of-the-time purpose, but sometimes, like Zan says, they come in handy. (03/22 15:15)
Sivara > Yeah, WAR Relic is the same. Great for tanking, pretty neat when macro-swapped (I like to swap in the Calligae and tank with Berserk up). Only the hands and legs are decent for DD. (03/22 16:11)
Zantetsuken > Biggest problem for Sams is that some of their finer pieces get overshadowed by other gear. Kote is +10 Atk, but it pitiful VS Ochi/Bando. Kabuto is +10 Acc, and is one of the few high ACC head pieces.....but then there's O-hat >.<. Boots are really the only Sam Af2 that could be worn full time and be the best DoT piece. (03/22 16:19)
Justanotherface > Beanie, JSE body covers AF2 legs... NT > AF2 body unless you're planning on regenning everyone instead of tossing cures.... I just find it totally useless to have any piece of WHM af2, when there's a better piece in every slot. >_< (03/22 16:35)
Linmayu > I once spent an entire 30min healing Ashn, who was tanking at the time, with regen ONRY. It was fun. < /random> (03/22 16:38)
Zoofster > The dependence on a few +stats is something that hurts all-around suits of equipment, like many suits of JSE and AF. Same with when a job's role isn't its intended role/changes over the course of a game. All that equipment that's GREAT for one purpose suddenly becomes practically worthless as the focus shifts. SAM, NIN, and WAR equipment in particular shows this, and soon I think SMN might see it as well after ToUA is released. I don't like how many sets of armor have 'one piece' that's only used, then the rest gets thrown by the wayside. Patchwork equipment is just... meh. (03/22 16:42)
Zantetsuken > That's one of the problems with Relic Weapons too Zoofy, after all they can't make a Sam weapon that's more powerful than relic, but they're darting more and more towards that line: Levi's course has higher damage than Relic GKT, and is sam equippable. It's certainly not *better* but it's getting closer and closer (03/22 23:19)
Nimbex > If I could only have one piece of leg gear for WHM, it would probably be JSE. But since I *can* switch, I'm very glad to have my AF2 pants for casting bar spells, my Baron's Slops for resting, and my JSE for everything else. Swapping is fun! (03/27 10:49)

Been a while again, because I'm laaaaaazy aboutaru writing! But I'm writing! Yaaaay!

Uh... yeah. Recently went through and finished my ZMs, killing the [SPOILER] and having fun doing the [SPOILER x2] fight. Although you probably could guess the first spoiler from my screenshot, which is just funny. ^^

Ark Angel EV <Spirits Within> <Too Weak>.

I really suggest anyone who hasn't finished it do so. The reward might just be cutscenes and stuff (no money or gear), but it's still worth it. And from what I hear, lots easier than the CoP stuffles. ^^;

Going to go do Minotaru soon! And having fun just doing random stuffles. Helped Lothi try and get a Mercurial Kris today, twice, but she's unlucky with the chestaru, so I guess I'll be helping her with it again.

Also, as you can see in my happy sig, I got access to Dynamis - Beaucedine recently, and still haven't gotten a piece of RDM AF2. XD I don't know when I'll get my firstaru piece, honestly... seems I'll never get one sometimes. Still need to level PLD to 60 too.

Thankies for listening to my rambling-wamblings! Be safe! *waves and hugs*

Greetings! It has come to my attention that Elizara wants to do AF3, and so do I, so doing AF3 is whataru we should do! But... we might need a little help. I can bring my 74 RDM along, and she can definetly bring a 50+ WHM. So all we'd need is a decent tank, and any damage peoples that would like to come, although they're technically not necessary.

I heardy from Elizara thataru Salsachip would be willing to tank for us, and if so, that'd be great. ^^ I'll have to contact him to find outaru more, though. Apart from that... Not much going on. Hopefully I'll hit 54 WHM tonight!

Linmayu > I will help! Is a 70mnk a decent tank? (01/26 15:24)
Elizara > Not sure Linny..but Salsa said he's free next Friday (not today. Next Friday.) Let's do it then, 9 PM EST? (01/27 07:32)

Hey guys, hope you had some fun durring the holidays. I see the economy got even MORE screwy while I was gone, which really isn'taru anything new. For those of you CT fans, and fans of the soundtrack, I strongly suggest this remix project. It's got some awesome orchestral arangementarus.

http://chrono.ocremix.org/

As for gaming, I've been on and off of FFXI, since my recent acquisition of a new vid card and EQ2. Unfortunately it's too weak to even turn up the graphics high at all, and I still lag big time... A computer upgrade is in order, but with what money I don't know. ;-;

I haven't heard much aboutaru doing the Minotaru again, and I really would like to get the mammets done. But come mammet time, I don't know if I'll be able to devote enough time, resources, and we mightaru not have enough people to get everyone through. A static is the easiest way to do mammetarus and further onward, butaru do we have enough people back there who are still willing to help, or others in the LS who wouldn'taru mind helping us out?

Anyways, that's enough for now. ^^

Nimbex > In general, my time is not copious, but I can usually make a commitment and stick to it. Should you need a WHM70 or BLM40 for a mission, you can certainly ask. If there's few people who need the mission, and there's not many people likely to be catching up, then I'll fill in. I'd, of course, prefer to have people who need the missions getting done with them. (01/13 14:51)

Elizara > Minotaru..please yes! I'd be glad to kill it again if we could get zee help so I could get by him! (01/27 08:38)
Drexel > I dont mind helping out on CoP stuff. I'm currently on Snoll fight, but getting everyone caught up would be benificial to myself as well. I have BLM, RDM, WHM, and NIN for CoP stuff up until the 50 and 60 cap stuff. Then I just have BLM and RDM. (02/17 10:49)
