Let's see, Friday was static. Got PLD65. We did pretty well with 4 people and then 5. That's good, we're gonna have to repeat that feat next Friday, haha.

On Saturday Howitzer went to Valkrum. Valkrum's usually pretty good to use, but the last 2 runs it's just stuck it's tongue out at us. We did all the prep work quickly and with minimum death. The flies were quick. Fairy Ring went down with only a few deaths. We slapped the Goober around, but one of our new members (it was her first run) DC'ed at the Goober's spot. I stayed behind to lead her to the Mega Boss when she reconnected and everyone else went to the Mega Boss. That's fine, we had plenty of damage and plenty of stun. They fired it up and I started back without our new member in tow (at that point her warping out and re-entering might've been safer after some clearing). I got to where the Mega Boss was and all of the statues had popped. Haha. The map on Wiki says they pop on defeat. No, they pop on engage, so I was caught outside of the fight with no way to enter unless I wanted to bring the statue and its' mobs with me. As for the Mega Boss fight itself, we got screwed. It charmed 2 or 3 times through stun and despite killing the Goober and that just thrashed us :/ We lost, but we'll go back and kick its' tentacles up between its' ears. If it had ears... And we still walked away with 5 AF2s and a 100 piece, so that's nothing to sniff at for an hour's work.

Afterwards was Nyzul and that went well, but nothing dropped; not even me :D Okay, maybe we would've seen more drops if I'd kissed the floor at some point, but we did the best we could with the crappy floors we got. I'm happy that we managed to win each time :3

It's rare, but I had absolutely nothing planned for Sunday, not even pirates 'cause of folk's schedules. I slept in 'til nearly 11am >.>; Since I had this fabulously large block of uncommitted time I could spend it seeking on BLM, amirite? I set my /sea. I made sure my bag had room for moat fishing. I hopped on a chocobo to head out to Knightswell, then I got an XP invite. Yeah, took about 2 minutes D: <3

That ended up being a great party, mostly due to the company. Demandred and Klaital were in it. We chatted away oh, what was it, a 5 hour party o.O while raking in the XP. Demandred got BLM62 and 63. I got 68. Klaital got a merit :o So yeah, it was a fun party. Our JP BRD had never been in a manaburn or pulled before, so we had her pulling. She did a very good job for a first time (sometimes links just happen, I wish that was in the auto-translate to tell her that >.>; ). But I think she was liking the whole manaburn thing by the end of the party, haha.

When the party broke I hung out with Nif and had dinner and did domestic stuff. After he went to bed I decided I'd try this seek and fish thing again. This time I made it as far as Knightswell before I got an invite >.>;

This party was a manaburn in Qufim o.o Okay. Worms? No. Crabs. Okay o.o; Never heard of that before, but I'm up for it :D I was only 9k TNL, so what did I have to lose? We synced to 22 and it worked out better than I was expecting. It was 5 BLM and a COR bouncing the crab between us. Thunder, Blizzard, and Drain were my spells of destructive choice >.>b I got BLM69 and a nice buffer before the party broke. Whee~ Now I can go back to BLM apathy for a few weeks until the bug to make progress bites me again.

Oh, and speaking of progress, I'm just shy of 6000 moat carp turned in. On the downside, I got no fishing in today, hahaha x3;
Demandred > That was a really fun party, and I agree that our puller did fine. I would have ended up with at least as many links as she did. Did it really last 5 hours? It was longish, but I didn't really feel it. I suppose our lengthy chatting had something to do with that. ^^; Kudos on scoring the second party later! The odds aren't great on scoring two invites on BLM in one day. :) (09/10/14 20:07)
