I did a bit of Shantotto before Escort and Pirates this evening. Got that enfeebling box thingy turned in and now I'm ready for the avatar tour x.xb

I headed back out to Ronfa for more fishing. So close! I was plodding along when Jeni popped up and started fishing with me :o I fished myself nearly to fatigue and he picked up another 142 carp, which he gave to me and gave me exactly 10,000 moat carp. Thank you so much for your help, Jeni! And thanks to Nif, Yosa, Val, Aar, and Tharp for feeding me Earth crystals (so many Earth crystals x.x )

Next step is to work out a skill path now that I'm no longer cockblocked by lacking a rod strong enough for the bigger catches >.>b

I'm going to pass out now. I think that was the longest, most boring quest SE put in the game this side of Ebisu >.>; And no, I'm not going for an Ebisu. I enjoy my sanity, thank you for asking.

Nayami > Grats on the Lu! :3 I find Shantotto kinda fun so far (only at the Ro Ma'eve part, though). I'm glad they give you 50k for defeating the avatars. You get SOMETHING out of it (so much traveling). X3 +the 60k if you do the regular ones at the same time. It's neat. D: (09/11/19 09:01)
Elizara > Not just noble ladies. Bastore Breams and grimmorites as well. I can catch noble ladies BARELY. It's like most fishermen won't ah their catch which makes it tough. That's why I'm considering getting unlazy and finally getting fishing up since it's only gonna get worse... (09/11/19 12:10)
Beanie > AHs price for Ladies has to meet / beat what NPCs offers. Currently AH price is 800g more than NPC offers, which could be the listing fee right there if you want to bother bringing them back to town and tie up your AH slots :x I know people get their tails in a knot about RMT fishing and such, but honestly, it's pure economics for me. I need gil to support my lavish lifestyle and I'll sell to whoever is offering the better price, that simple. Right now I'm in the neighborhood of Ladies, so I can keep those in mind for tossing at you. The Breams I plan on skirting around and not fishing at all, same with Grimmys. I plan on going the Nashmau skill path since it involves less traveling (overall) and no chance of a monster eating me in the process D: || Naya, I'm on the avatar part now. I'm waiting for Nif / Yosa / whoever else might want to come along to get there and then we'll do both avatar fights, yeah. 110k gil sounds good to me, especially after the 50k+ I spent on the first mission (I didn't want to get my tail in a knot with the farming, and it was knoting up pretty fast when I tried...) Elizara > Thanks Beanie; and I'll keep working on the problem with my chara...I do understand the economics of the situation and why people do it, but the fact of the matter is; I suspect not every cook fishes, so when there is not a lot of tav-taco fish on the ah, prices on tacos go up, which makes plds upset. (I think you remember what Renard said a month ago; I've been gathering fish for another batch for him recently, and that takes a while because of low supply, so doing that early) Hopefully eventually I can catch my own. Until then, let me know how much I'd owe ya for any noble ladies. I don't believe in getting anything that takes someone's time for free..unless it was my time. (aka. Guppy > Avatar fights seem to be much lower level than the Prime fights, I don't expect any Lvl 75 job to have difficulty soloing it. The 400 xp bonus per fight is nice, too. As for synth materials -- in the past, when I had trouble getting a hold of a material sitting at sub-NPC price, what I would do, is try to get some to start with, then use it to sell-buy on the AH setting it at a higher price, to send a signal that I'm willing to pay more for a steady supply.
