It took 6.5 hours of Synergizing.

A wee bit under 700 Water Fewell.

And cursing enough to peel the paint off the walls...

But I got to Synergy 5 so I could do the quest to get my Portafurnace. I was somewhat mollified by the fact that the quest itself reminded me of how I goose Yosa about SCH >.>; I think he'll snerk if he makes it that far.

I had no idea what technique to enhance at level 5, so I took a stab and picked Fewell Feeding. It'll get used at least?

I also have no idea what I'm going to do with a Portafurnace now that I have one. I mean, seriously, if I need juice I'll just use the water crystals on the oranges and be done with it >.>;

Guppy and I tried some co-operative synthing, but not much came out of it. I don't think co-op is going to be that helpful until much higher levels (that might not even be in the game yet?). I can see two Veteran crafters teaming up to make something, but two people making juice? Not so much so... I have more cinders than any person needs. I'm already up over 6300pz...

I'm going to stop here. Maybe when Orbs (or the rocks that go into them) are more readily available I'll try again. Or maybe if SE does a patch and considerably increases the skill up rate :D? A Bean can hope, right?

Only other things I got done today were my Alchemy turn-in and to be part of the pitiful forces that lost the Coconut to a level 3 Undead Besieged :/ Zazarg vs. Perdition ended the Besieged in under 5 minutes. On the plus side, the cats had me up at 4am this morning and I caught an early Mamool wave. I capped my Elemental skill there. Dark skill will catch up eventually...
Kireila > The cooperative synergizing only really works when you have multiple types of fewel that need to be used, since it's somewhat hard to get high levels of fewell for multiple elements done in the time allotted to synergize. (09/12/10 08:44)

Guppy > I noticed it was also a lot easier when there was a 2nd person to do various operations to prevent explosions and repair the furnace. But yes, getting extra Cinders won't be worth it unless some super-expensive purchase gets added. (09/12/10 15:07)
